DVRS - Digital Vehicular Repeater System
The P25 Digital Vehicular Repeater System (DVRS) is a radio system component that provides repeater capability between portable subscribers and the RF base station infrastructure. It extends the portable radio coverage in areas where only Mobile radio coverage is available and portable radio coverage is either intermittent or non existent. Installed in the trunk of a car, fire truck, ambulance or configured as a Transportable suitcase or fixed mount unit, the DVR extends portable radio communications when the user is outside of the car or inside a shielded area (building, tunnel etc).
The P25 DVRS seamlessly interfaces to the remote mount Motorola XTL™5000 (O3/O5 Control Head) and XTL™2500 (M5 Control Head).
Available in VHF, UHF, 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands, the DVRS supports cross-band or in-band simplex and full duplex configurations.
The DVRS provides low -cost portable radio coverage without restricting the functionality of the portable subscriber.
